METABOLSIMOS

Presentaciones:

Saenger Galería / Ciudad de México / 2026

Diego Inestrillas positions his practice within the discourse of the Anthropocene and material ontologies, investigating the systemic friction between biological, geological, and manufactured entities. Metabolismo (HCM 01) distills this inquiry into a precise structural operation. By framing a precarious interval between industrial concrete forms, the sculpture establishes a dialogue with historical structural logics of fragility. An amorphous central mass acts as a site of mutation, a hybrid metabolism that materializes post naturalist scenarios where the boundary between waste, resource, and sensible matter dissolves.

Ultimately, the piece interrogates the dichotomy of living and inert matter, expanding this critique to address the invisible regulatory systems that sustain, constrain, and organize bodies in contemporary environments.
